Challenge
A social welfare corporation must make sure all staff, including those on rotating shifts, are aware of its work rules. This corporation reprinted and redistributed the work rules each time they were amended.
Paper copies remained around the facilities, and there was no way to know which version staff were reading. Besides the effort of each amendment, there was concern that outdated versions were being used.
Adoption
The corporation adopted Kiteilog so that staff could check the current rules at any time. Keeping the amendment history as versions was another point in its favor.
It registered the work rules, used the law check to find sections to review, made the necessary changes and published them.
Results and current use
Staff now check the current work rules in Kiteilog, and reprinting and redistributing them after each amendment is no longer necessary.
Amendments are recorded as versions, and earlier versions can be traced. The corporation can also see whether staff have read the rules.
It plans to register its other rules in turn and build a way to communicate them across the whole organization.
