Policy Against Anti-Social Forces
SHANNON LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY (hereinafter, "we" or "the Company") takes a resolute stance toward anti-social forces that threaten the order and safety of civil society, and regards severing all relationships with them as an important priority of compliance-based management. We establish the following basic policy, which our officers and all employees shall observe.
1. Response as an Entire Organization
Against unjust demands by anti-social forces, we respond as an entire organization, led by our representative, rather than leaving the matter to an individual staff member or department alone. We ensure the safety of the employees who handle such situations.
2. Cooperation with External Specialist Organizations
We maintain close cooperation at all times with the police, centers for the promotion of movements to eliminate organized crime, attorneys, and other external specialist organizations, in order to prevent harm caused by anti-social forces.
3. Severing All Relationships
We have no relationship whatsoever with anti-social forces, including business dealings. We firmly reject any unjust demands from anti-social forces. If it becomes clear that a business partner is an anti-social force, or has a relationship with anti-social forces, we will promptly terminate that relationship.
4. Response to Unjust Demands
Against unjust demands by anti-social forces, we take legal action on both civil and criminal fronts.
5. Prohibition of Covert Transactions and Provision of Funds
We do not engage in covert transactions with anti-social forces, even for the purpose of preventing harm caused by them. Nor do we provide funds to anti-social forces under any circumstances.
For the purposes of this policy, "anti-social forces" refers to organized crime groups, members and quasi-members of such groups, companies affiliated with them, corporate racketeers (sokaiya), groups engaging in criminal activities under the pretext of social or political movements, crime groups specialized in intellectual crimes, and other persons equivalent to the foregoing.
