Challenge
A rules management SaaS produces many kinds of output: rules as PDF and Word, comparison tables for amendments, labor-agreement documents, and CSVs of read and audit records.
Developing and maintaining output code for each format takes development time for layout adjustments and bug fixes. The challenge was to keep output quality high while limiting the development burden.
Adoption
The company chose DocRelay because layout, Word and Excel templates are handled on one platform.
Rules, comparison tables and labor agreements were built as layout templates, Word output as Word templates and CSVs as Excel templates, then checked in the test environment before going to production.
Results and current use
All of these formats now go through DocRelay, and the service only passes the data to issue them.
Layout changes are handled by updating templates, so service development can focus on core features.
Whenever a new output is needed, the company intends to add it as a template.
