SHANNON LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY (“SHANNON”) launched AI BizCall, an AI phone answering service for businesses, on November 1, 2026.
What AI BizCall is
AI BizCall gives your company its own 050 phone number, and AI answers every call to it, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The AI asks for the caller’s request, company, name and callback number, and sends a summary of the call to the people in charge. Staff check the summary and transcript in the call history and call back.
On every call, the AI first introduces itself in Japanese: “Thank you for calling. This is the telephone answering service for (company name). This is the AI receptionist.” It then asks how it can help.
Key features
- Two answer patterns. Choose request intake, which asks for the request, name and callback number, or message taking, which takes a message and who it is for when staff are away.
- Answer settings. Set up to 10 questions to ask, business hours for each day of the week with after-hours handling, and up to 20 FAQs, all from the dashboard. The AI answers FAQs on the spot.
- Notifications. Call summaries go to email, Slack, Chatwork, Microsoft Teams and Google Chat. Send call details to a CRM or other in-house system by webhook. Urgent requests are flagged as urgent and sent right away.
- Call history. Each call comes with a summary, the answers to your questions, a transcript and a recording. Transcripts and recordings are kept for 30 days after the call. Handling notes and the handled status let staff pass calls on to each other.
- Contacts and call blocking. Name the numbers that call you and block individual numbers. Overseas and withheld numbers can also be blocked in one setting. The contact list can be exported as CSV.
- Monthly usage cap. Set a cap on the month’s charges. When it is reached, the AI asks callers to try again later.
- Try talking. Before your number opens, use “Try talking” in the dashboard to talk to your AI receptionist from the browser (up to 30 minutes in total until the number opens).
- Operable by AI. Through MCP, AI clients such as Claude can review calls, change answer settings and more.
How to sign up
Register your company in the AI BizCall dashboard with its name and reading. Then apply for a 050 number from “Phone number” in the dashboard. You will need a certificate of registered matters, the applicant’s photo ID and proof of the applicant’s address. Register a payment card before you apply.
After review, Twilio (the carrier) sends a mail item that cannot be forwarded to your registered address to confirm it. Once it is confirmed, your number opens. AI BizCall is available to corporations only.
