We built a booking platform for a medical corporation on a Laravel / PHP / AWS stack, taking responsibility for requirements definition, design, and project management. The full flow of booking, confirmation, and cancellation was designed to fit the way the clinical site actually operates.

In healthcare settings, if a booking system doesn't fit how the site actually runs, staff eventually fall back to handling everything by phone. The flow of patient booking, confirmation, and cancellation touches all three parties — front-line staff, administrators, and patients — and if the design is awkward for any one of them, the whole operation breaks down. Multi-site use was also on the roadmap, so we needed to avoid a structure where operational cost balloons every time a new facility is added. Designing a platform that "doesn't disrupt on-site work and can scale across multiple facilities" was at the heart of the requirements.
