SHANNON (“the Company”) announces that it has fully redesigned the admin screens of its policy-management cloud, “Kitei Log.” Policies and manuals are now unified as “documents” in a single place, shortening the path through the whole cycle of finding, revising, and demonstrating.
Background
As Kitei Log grew, so did its menus: “policies” and “manuals” lived on separate screens, and checking legal amendments or readership meant going somewhere else again. Administrators told us it was hard to know where to start. We have reorganized the screens themselves so that they follow the flow of the work rather than a list of features.
The home screen as an inbox of what to do
Pending approvals, legal amendments, stalled drafts, and policies with many unread readers are now gathered into a single list. Open it first thing in the morning and what needs attention that day is at the top.
Policies and manuals unified as “documents”
The two menus are now one, with search at the center. Search covers the body text, not just titles. You can narrow by type, category, status, and publication scope, and also reach documents from “status breakdown” and “browse by publication scope.”
Reading and editing separated
The detail screen is for reading; editing has its own screen. Publication scope, version history, and the policies that reference this one sit alongside the body text, so you can confirm who can see it and which version it is while you read.
Comparing versions
“Diff” in the version history opens a full-screen dialog. You can pick which earlier version to compare against on the spot, and switch between the diff, the old/new comparison table, and the body text. The comparison table can also be exported as a PDF from the same place.
Seeing who has not read a policy
For each policy you can now see the target audience, who has read it, and who has not, and filter down to just the employees who have not. CSV export and email reminders to unread employees are both supported. Previously only the overall read rate was available, so there was no way to tell whom to follow up with.
Legal amendment screens
What to change in your own policies now takes center stage, with the key points, checkpoints, and sources for the law itself gathered on the right. Each finding carries a severity, and marking one as handled moves it down the list.
Organizations and employees on one screen
Selecting a node in the organization tree on the left filters the roster on the right. Adding, renaming, and deleting organizations can now be done in place, without leaving the screen.
Smartphone support
The admin screens can now be operated end to end on a smartphone. On a document’s detail screen the actions are pinned to the bottom, so you can publish or request a review however long the body text is.
Availability and pricing
Available since August 2026. There is no additional charge for the redesign, and all data and settings carry over unchanged.
