Monitoring often uses separate services for synthetic monitoring, error monitoring, and notifications, so alerts get scattered and things are easily missed. Notification deliverability is a challenge too — important incident alerts sometimes get treated as spam. The aim was to bring detection through to notification into one consistent flow.
Approach
- 01 Ran HTTP / keyword / SSL-expiry synthetic monitoring from multiple locations with UptimeRobot
- 02 Continuously monitored application errors and performance degradation with Sentry
- 03 Consolidated notifications into Resend and set up SPF / DKIM / DMARC to secure deliverability
- 04 Designed notification destinations and frequency by severity to curb both noise and missed alerts
- 05 Managed the monitored targets and notification rules in code and documentation to make additions and changes easy

Solution
Building on UptimeRobot's synthetic and uptime monitoring from multiple locations and Sentry's application error monitoring, we unified notifications into email delivery through Resend with sender domain authentication in place. We designed notification routes by severity and consolidated the flow from detection to notification into a single path.
