See the roles by logging in,
not by waiting for email.

SHANNON's project portal is the point of contact for partner firms and freelancers looking for work. We list roles that aren't posted publicly — including rate, location, remote policy, number of interviews, and start date. You don't have to wait for email; once you log in, they're there whenever you want.

Pain points

Does your search look like this?

Things we often hear from partner firms and freelancers.

A flood of roles arrives by email, and it takes time to find the ones that fit.
You propose someone and hear nothing back — no idea whether it closed or fell through.
Conditions change after the fact. Rate and number of interviews only appear once you ask.
You are asked to rebuild the skill-sheet format every time.
Being outside the major cities alone is enough for no one to hear you out.
You are asked for resumes without knowing whether a real role even exists.
Portal

What the project portal does

The roles we handle aren't posted publicly. Log in and you can see them anytime, conditions included.

01 Projects

Project pages

Open roles, with the conditions included.

  • Roles that are not posted publicly
  • Rate, location, remote policy, number of interviews, and start date stated
  • Turn a role sheet into a PDF on the spot
  • Reach out by email straight from a role you like
  • New listings announced by email too

02 Proposal

Proposing engineers

Attach a skill sheet and we match it against the requirements and reply either way.

  • Propose with your existing skill sheet as-is
  • We match it against the requirements and reply either way
  • If it's a pass, we tell you where it didn't fit
  • We never leave it hanging on "still looking"

We won't ask you to rebuild the format every time

03 Access

Login and visibility

Set up so you don't have to manage accounts.

  • Login is a code sent to your email only (no password)
  • Which roles each partner sees is set per account
  • Not indexed by search engines
  • You can register just to browse roles

What you can see is decided at registration

How it works

From registration to placement

Browsing roles and proposing engineers both run through the portal and email.

  • 01Register — send us your company name, contact person, and email. We also ask which areas you cover and when you can supply engineers. Start from the application form.
  • 02Portal access — we hand you access to the project portal. Login is just a code sent to your email; there is no password to issue or manage.
  • 03Browse roles — open roles are listed with rate, location, remote policy, and number of interviews. Contact us from any role via "Get in touch."
  • 04Propose engineers — send a proposal with a skill sheet. We match it against the requirements and reply either way. On a pass, we tell you where it didn’t fit.
  • 05Interview and contract — one or two online interviews. If it fits, we contract on a monthly, quasi-mandate basis.
Terms

About working together

We state the terms at first contact. Anything not written here, just ask and we answer on the spot.

Contract type
Monthly, quasi-mandate by default. Some roles are contracted on a deliverables basis.
Disclosure of terms
Rate, location, remote policy, number of interviews, and start date are written on the role page in advance. We don't create terms that only appear when you ask.
Payment terms
Closing and payment dates are stated at first contact and written into the contract.
Location
Roles are mostly in the greater Tokyo area, but we also handle fully remote ones. We don't judge by where the engineer lives.
Contact method
Email. From each portal page, your mail client opens with the subject and body prefilled.
Promises

What we decide before working together

Three things we always tell you when we start working together.

01 We only list real roles We don't post fictitious roles to collect resumes. Roles that have closed come down promptly.
02 We reply We reply to every proposal, either way. On a pass, we tell you where it didn't fit.
03 We don't change terms later We don't move the rate, interview count, or working conditions we quoted for our own convenience. If the client's situation changes them, we tell you the reason too.
Comparison

Compared with other channels

We can't match the big agencies on registration numbers. Instead, we state conditions up front and always reply.

Large agencies
  • A flood of roles by email; slow to search
  • A yes/no on your proposal may never come back
  • Conditions can change after the fact
Direct deals only
  • Good terms, but you develop new clients on your own
  • You absorb the ups and downs of demand yourself
  • You carry the idle time when an engineer is between roles
SHANNON
  • See roles and conditions in the portal anytime
  • Rate, remote, interview count stated up front
  • Every proposal gets a yes or no
