SHANNON (“the Company”) announces that it has added organization management to its policy-management cloud, “Kitei Log.” You can now register multiple companies and departments as a hierarchy under a single contract, and set the publication scope of policies and manuals per organization.
Background
Until now, Kitei Log assumed that policies and manuals were published uniformly to every employee within a tenant. Meanwhile, we frequently heard from companies with several group companies, and from companies whose policies apply to different departments, that they wanted to control which policies each company or department sees. This release lets you hold organizations as a hierarchy and specify the publication scope at the organization level.
Register organizations as a tree
From “Organization management → Organizations,” you can register companies, divisions, and sections as a hierarchy. If you have group companies, create a separate top level of the tree for each company. Multiple companies can be managed side by side within a single contract.
Employee organization assignment
From the employee edit screen, you can specify the organization an employee belongs to.
Publication scope for policies and manuals
From “Change publication scope” on a policy’s detail screen, you can select the organizations to publish to.
- Specifying a higher-level organization also publishes to the organizations beneath it
- If no scope is specified, the policy is published to everyone, as before
- Employees who do not belong to any organization will not see policies with a specified scope
Lists now displayed by organization
The policy and manual lists now show each policy nested under the organization tree. Even when the same policy name exists for several companies, it is clear at a glance which organization it belongs to. The previous category-based view remains available from the “By category” tab.
