SHANNON (“the Company”) announces that it has expanded the AI integration (Model Context Protocol / MCP) of its own product, “Kitei Log,” to support referencing revision history and creating drafts of new policies and manuals. From MCP-compatible AI clients such as claude.ai, users can now do everything from confirming a policy’s provenance to generating drafts.
Background
Since the MCP support introduced in May 2026, Kitei Log has provided a configuration that lets AI clients reference the latest version of the policy and manual text registered in Kitei Log. In audit response, however, confirming provenance—“at what past point in time, and how, did something change?”—is essential, and when establishing or revising a policy, the burden of preparing a draft also remained. This expansion broadens the scope of the AI integration to cover these two areas.
Referencing Revision History
You can now confirm the text and change content of past versions of a policy from AI. In response to a natural-language query such as “When and how did the provision on the telework allowance in the work rules change?”, the AI traces the revision history and answers. This can be used for confirming provenance and for explaining “since when it has been in operation” during ISMS / PrivacyMark audits.
Draft Creation
You can now create drafts of new policies and manuals from AI. Have the AI generate proposed provisions based on existing policies or templates, and turn them into a draft within Kitei Log. Note that what is created is strictly a draft; publication (finalizing and disseminating an official version) still takes place only after content review in the admin screen, as before. The AI never puts a policy directly into a published state.
Permissions and Access Control
Operations that involve writing—such as referencing revision history and creating drafts—require both a “write-enabled integration” and “administrator / editor permissions.” Existing read-only integrations cannot perform write operations, and a draft cannot be created from the AI session of a user who lacks permission. As before, a record of who referenced or edited which policy is kept in the audit log.
